Alexandra and John chose Tantalus Vineyards as their venue for both ceremony and reception. Moving from Calgary to Kelowna just days before their wedding, they were looking for someone else to take the reigns and carry out their vision. We were delighted to be chosen.
With a commanding view of the city and lake, the ceremony site was kept simple and elegant with mason jars brimming with white florals hung from the chairs. Full floral arrangements atop barrels at the front of the aisle served as an alter, leaving the view to speak for itself.
John's daughter played the role of flowergirl and it was clear that her and Alexandra had a very close bond.
Keeping their guest list on the smaller side the day was very focused on family and very close friends allowing them to feast at one long table in the tank hall at Tantalus Winery. One of the delights of the day was to witness so many children dressed in their finest at the ceremony.
Soft draping and crystal clear chandeliers were a beautiful contrast to the industrial steel of the tanks.
The beautiful cake was created by none other than Tanya of Whisk Cake Company! The adorable cake topper was a family heirloom.
The day ended with everyone dancing outside under the stars. Congratulations Alexandra and John. Thank you for sharing such a special day with us!
